Friends of Kingsdown Play Park 

 

The Friends of Kingsdown Play Park is a registered charity formed by local parents with the support of Ringwould with Kingsdown Parish Council.

 

Our aim is to build an amazing new play park for Kingsdown. We intend to raise enough money through fundraising, grants and donations to create a fun space for the entire community.

                                    

Kingsdown is a beautiful coastal village in Kent. The Village is thriving and boasts a a number of shops, businesses and a busy village hall and Church.  The village also has three pubs, a golf course, a camp site, a primary school and a holiday park! In fact as a small village there's not much that Kingsdown doesn't have to offer, except for its play facilities.

 

The existing play park (below), although set within beautiful countryside, is rather tired and dull in comparision to the rest of the village. It's popular after school on a summer's day, but most weekends will see the park empty with local families and holidaymakers choosing to get in their cars and travel to alternative parks within the local area. 

 

We have an opportunity now to transform the park into a popular and exciting facility for children of all ages, as well as the young at heart, with exciting and stimulating play and exercise equipment. The whole community is getting behind the project and we can't wait to see the finished result!
